Ankara and Baku have agreed on terms for transporting gas through Turkey to Europe, Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said yesterday. Following an energy conference, Yildiz told reporters that the state-owned Turkish Pipeline Corporation (BOTAS) and the Republic of Azerbaijan Azeri State Oil Company (SOCAR) had reached an agreement on the transit of natural gas to other countries through Turkey. He said Azeri President Ilham Aliyev would witness the signing of a protocol to this effect next month.
