Turkey becomes sixth largest steel exporter in 2012

The Steel Exporters Union of Turkey said in an online statement that Turkey has become the sixth largest steel exporter in the world in 2012. Accordingly, China made the highest steel exports totaling 40.6 million tons, and followed by Japan with 35.7 million tons, Ukraine with 22.3 million tons, Russia with 19.8 million tons, South Korea with 9.8 million tons and Turkey with 7.2 million tons. As part of the list, Turkey is followed by Brazil, Italy, Belgium and Austria.
