On the sidelines of the 67th UN General Assembly in New York, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu announced on Wednesday that Turkey had started a new initiative known as "three soft powers from three continents" with Brazil and Sweden. Speaking to Turkish press members in New York about the anti-Islam movie "Innocence of Muslims," Davutoglu said that the three countries have launched an initiative in order to prevent further assaults against sacred values. Stating that three countries will use their influence to raise the issue of insulting sacred values on the sidelines of the UN Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) meeting, Davutoglu said that they would also work on increasing security for diplomats in order to take more precautions against the terrorist threats faced by them.
