Turkey condemned on Saturday Iraq for a shameful behavior against Turkish flag near the Turkish Consulate General in Basra, where a group of approximately 200 people staged a protest and burned the Turkish flag, demanding Ankara extradite Iraq's vice president. Following the incident, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, who attended the NATO Summit in Chicago at the weekend, held a phone conversation with Iraqi Foreign Minister Hosyhar Zebari to condemn the incident. In return, Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari strongly condemned the attack and said Iraq would do whatever it could to find the assailants.
