Turkey extends its anti-piracy role in Somali

Parliament yesterday adopted a motion extending the mission term of naval elements of the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) for one more year in Gulf of Aden and off the coast of Somalia. National Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz criticized those who oppose to the motion and described the piracy activities off the coast of Somalia as a threat and cruelty. "It is our humanitarian task to prevent this. Those who don't have a guilty conscious about Somalia's children cannot understand the aim of this motion," said Yilmaz.
