The Turkish Petroleum International Company Ltd. (TPIC), an affiliate of the state-run Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO), is holding talks with Kyrgyz government officials on supplying the jet fuel needed by American forces based in the country, TPIC President Mithat Cansioz said yesterday. Speaking to the Anatolia news agency, Cansiz added that if they can reach an agreement, the TPIC will sell 5,000-6,000 tons of jet fuel per month to be used at the American military base. Under current prices, such a deal would bring in some $400 million annually for the company.
