Turkey, Iran sign energy agreement

Turkey and Iran signed an energy agreement during Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's visit to Iran earlier this week. Under the agreement, the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) will invest in Iran's South Pars gas fields, Iran's natural gas will be transported to Europe via Turkey, and Turkmenistan's natural gas will be pumped to Turkey via Iran.
