Turkey sets an example to Arab countries, says Saakashvili
Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili said that Turkey set an example to Arab countries and support the people in those countries. Speaking at the 48th Munich Security Conference, Saakashvili said that the iron curtain between Turkey and his country which was evident during the Cold War era has been lifted, borders have been opened and visa requirements have been mutually removed for citizens of the two countries. Saakashvili also stressed the joint dams and joint projects enjoyed by both Turkey and Georgia on their borders. During the conference, Tawakel Karman, a Yemeni journalist and the youngest winner of a Nobel Peace Prize, harshly criticized China and Russia for vetoing a UN Security Council resolution on Syria, saying that it's embarrassing not to condemn a government which oppresses its own people.
