Turkey to be guest of honor at ARCOmadrid

Turkey is set to attend the 32nd International Contemporary Art Fair (ARCOmadrid) as the guest of honor in Madrid on February 13-17, 2013. The event which is set to host 202 art galleries from 30 countries was announced to public in a meeting at the Foreign Ministry representative office. The meeting was attended by Deputy Foreign Minister and Ambassador Naci Koru, as well as Ambassador Mehmet Donmez, Head of IFEMA Luis Eduardo Cortes, ARCOmadrid Director Carlos Urroz, General Director of IFEMA Fermin Lucas and Director of the Institute of Cervantes Antonio Gil. Ten prominent art galleries from Turkey which will attend the ARCOmadrid are Dirimart, Elipsis, Macka Art Gallery, Mana, Nev Istanbul, Non, Pilot, Rampa, Rodeo and X-Ist.
