Turkey to discuss Syria in a meeting in Geneva

Speaking at a press conference, Foreign Ministry spokesman Levent Gumrukcu said that a meeting would be held in Geneva in September with the participation of officials from the countries neighboring Syria, as well as officials from the UN in order to find an effective solution to the humanitarian situation in Syria. Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu is set to attend the meeting to represent Turkey. Gumrukcu added that the meeting would discuss ways to meet the humanitarian needs of fleeing Syrians within the Syrian territory, an initiative made by Turkey.
