Turkey, Venezuela sign energy cooperation deal
Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz yesterday said a new energy deal between Turkey and Venezuela would lead the way to numerous cooperation opportunities for both countries. Yildiz and Venezuelan Foreign Minister Nicolas Maduro Moros signed the agreement in Ankara on behalf of their countries. Speaking after the signing ceremony, Yildiz said under the deal the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) and its subsidiary the Turkish Petroleum International Company (TPIC) will work to find, process, refine, store, transport and market Venezuela's rich hydro-carbon resources.
