Turkey's Ambassador to Syria returns

Turkey's Ambassador to Syria Omer Onhon has returned to Turkey after the closure of Turkish Embassy in Damascus. Onhon and his staff arrived in the southern port of Mersin yesterday on a ferry from Beirut. Speaking to journalists, Onhon said that initiatives were underway concerning the Turkish journalists who have been reported to be missing in Syria. Stating that they have faced no problem in the process of returning from Syria, Onhon reiterated that Turkey's Consulate General in Aleppo was still open. Onhon and accompanying delegation later left Mersin for Ankara.
