The seven-member team distributing Turkey's aid to Somalia, led by Turkish Red Crescent (Kizilay) head Omer Tasli, yesterday visited aid camps in the drought-stricken state. Turkish Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) Chairman Serdar Cam also visited the camps. Health Minister Recep Akdag said yesterday that six mobile units were made available to be sent to Somalia and that once security is ensured in the region, a 20-person team including doctors and nurses will start to provide health services at each mobile unit.
