Turkish automative exports hit record high

The automotive sector in Turkey saw the highest export rate in the last 60 months. The export in the automotive sector in September climbed to $2 billion with an increase by 31 percent compared to the same period of previous year. The car exports rose by 12 percent and reached $15.7 billion in the first nine months of the year. Expressing that exports have increased in all product groups, Uludag Automotive Industry Exporters Union (OIB) President Orhan Sabuncu said, "We will surpass our target of $20 billion set for the year 2013."
