Turkish humanitarina relief foundation provides 2.5 million Syrian families with food aid
Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH) sent food aid to 2.5 million Syrians during this year's Ramadan. According to a statement by the IHH, 123 transporters loaded with food supplies, provided by donors from various parts of Turkey and abroad, had been sent to Syria by the foundation's team. IHH's 40,000 food packages containing 15,000 kilos of wheat, 9,500 kilos of lentils, 550 tons of flour and 3,500 liters of vegetable oil were delivered to Syria via Turkey's Cilvegozu and Oncupinar borders. The food supplies were distributed to Syrian citizens in need of help in Idlib, Tel-Abyad, Rakka, Aleppo and Homs as well as the refugees near the Turkish border. The aid shipments sent by IHH has reached 2.5 million Syrians since early Ramadan.
