Turkish policeman dies in clashes in Akcakale

A group of Syrian refugees clashed with Turkish security forces on Thursday in the southeastern province of Sanliurfa's Akcakale district after a brawl erupted between security forces and the group, as they attempted to cross the border. A fire also broke out in office of the customs control office. During clashes, Turkish policeman Ferhat Avci was shot with a bullet fired by Syrians, and then taken to a hospital for further treatment but succumbed to his injuries.
