Turkish premier congratulates Egyptian president following referendum

Erdogan called Morsi on Sunday evening, and wished the results of referendum would be well for Egyptian people. Morsi, in return, thanked Erdogan, and said that the referendum was an important step for the stability of Egypt. The second and final round of voting in the referendum took place in the weekend, and majority of the Egyptians supported the new constitution. The new constitution got the backing of more than 70 percent of the voters while 29 percent said "no". The turnout was around 30 percent with a total 25 million eligible Egyptians to vote.
