Turkish President hosts dinner in honor of Kuwait's Emir

Turkish President Abdullah Gul on Monday hosted a dinner in the honor of Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah who pays a formal visit in the Turkish capital, Ankara. Speaking at the dinner at the Cankaya Presidential Palace, Gul said Turkey and Kuwait had the potential to improve their cooperation in all fields but especially in technology, industry and development projects. The Turkish president urged Turkish and Kuwaiti businesspeople and investors to "take maximum advantage of intense relations" between the two countries. Gul praised what he said Kuwait's "pioneering political vision to enhance freedom press and rights of women," adding that Turkey and Kuwait "are on the same side as our region experiences far-reaching changes." The Kuwaiti emir, on his part, said that Turkey had made significant progress in technology, industry and economy, adding that Turkish government had recently introduced measures for a friendlier environment in Turkey. "These legal arrangements that encourages private sector will be a driving force in increasing our cooperation," the emir said.
