The Nasa Yeslihan, a Marshall Islands-flagged ship managed and operated from Turkey, was hijacked yesterday by Somali pirates in the Gulf of Aden. The ship with 20 Turkish crew members was carrying iron ore from Canada to China. Turkey asked NATO, which already has ships in the region on anti-piracy patrols, to help resolve the situation safely.
