In this respect, we also hope to see the opening of a group of chapters, including Chapter 23 on judiciary and fundamental rights and Chapter 24 on justice, freedom and security." For his part, Gilmore said that the Irish government has been in favor of Turkey's EU membership and the expansion of EU for a long time.
