TUSIAD's high consultation meeting in Istanbul attended by bagis, Boyner

Speaking at the Turkish Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (TUSIAD) High Consultation Council in Istanbul yesterday, Turkey's EU Minister and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis said that Turkey was now a strong country, progressing towards future with sound steps. Bagis also thanked TUSIAD for its contributions to the democratization process in Turkey. For her part, TUSIAD Chairwoman Umit Boyner underlined that Turkey has never given up its EU membership bid, adding that the majority of improvements on the path to modernization, economic competition, demilitarization and democratization were closely related to EU membership.
