The Confederation of Turkish Businessmen and Industrialists (TUSKON) is participating in the International Fair of Luanda in Angola, which has kicked off yesterday to remain open until July 22. A total of 95 TUSKON-member companies are attending the fair along with 175 businessmen and 105 stands. Speaking about the fair, TUSKON Chairman Rizanur Meral said that Angola had a great potential, but that the amount of trade volume between the two countries was quite low. "We have been willing to ensure that Turkey gets more active here. These activities are belated, but considerably right. They are very impressed by our stands. They even wanted us not to bring our stands back to Turkey. Turkey has boosted the quality of the International Fair of Luanda. We have been aiming to represent Turkish goods and Turkey in a very good manner." Meral added that they expected Angola to increase its imports totaling $25 billion and that Turkey’s export to that country could increase five folds to reach $1 billion in the next five years.
