US Ambassador Ricciardone gives a peace message after completing his climb to mount Ararat

US Ambassador to Turkey Francis Ricciardone completed climbing Turkey's highest mountain, Mount Ararat (Mount Agri) on Thursday. Ricciardone left his hotel on Sunday morning with his family to start a climbing mission up Turkey's highest mountain, Mount Ararat and reached the peak of the 5,137 meter high Mount Ararat on the third day of the climb. On his return to the hotel in Dogubeyazıt, Ricciardone said, "Mount Ararat is a legend for us. We’ve wanted to climb for a long time, but we couldn’t find a chance before." Ricciardone also expressed hope for peace, saying, "Thank God, it is calmer and safer here now thanks to the peace process. I firmly believe this process will be successful."
