In Washington, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said yesterday that the United States had apologized to Turkey for the documents posted on the Internet by online whistle-blower WikiLeaks. Davutoglu said US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had apologized to Turkey, the Turkish government and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan for the documents. "I had a long and comprehensive meeting with Clinton," Davutoglu told Turkish reporters in Washington. Davutoglu said he often speaks with Clinton about international matters, and Clinton and he discussed the documents in their meeting, which had been scheduled long before.
