US delegation chaired by Vershbow holds contacts in Ankara

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Selcuk Unal yesterday said that a delegation chaired by Alexander Vershbow, Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs, held contacts in Ankara and meetings at the Foreign Ministry. Stating that the visit was scheduled following recent terrorist PKK attacks in the eastern district of Cukurca in Turkey, Unal said that ways to further improve the cooperation between Turkey and the US as part of combating terrorism were discussed with the delegation.
