US' Benjamin rebuffs claims of axis shift in Turkey's foreign policy"

Daniel Benjamin, the US State Department's counterterrorism chief, yesterday held talks in Ankara with Turkish officials about the fight against terrorism and cooperating in counterterrorism efforts. During the talks, Benjamin dismissed claims of an axis shift in Turkey 's foreign policy. Benjamin also stressed the importance of fostering sympathy and cooperation between the two countries and praised the high security standards he saw at Turkish airports.
