Washington post wtirer Zakaria praises Turkey
Prominent Washington Post writer and TV anchorman Fareed Zakaria praised Turkey's employment and foreign policies in his column yesterday. Referring to the fragile state which was suffered by Turkey twenty years ago, Zakaria highlighted the stunning progress in Turkish economy. "Since April 2009, Turkey has created 3.4 million jobs - more than the European Union, Russia and South Africa put together. That might explain Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's confidence and his country's energetic foreign policy," said Zakaria. Zakaria also noted that emerging powers such as China, Turkey, Brazil and India have achieved political stability and economic growth and are becoming active on the global stage.
