‘Wise Persons’ Meet With ‘Peace Mothers’ In Diyarbakir
The second regional meeting of the "Wise Persons’ Commission," formed by the government to contribute to the ongoing peace process on the Kurdish issue, has been held in the Diyarbakir. The group, which is tasked with pursuing works in the Southeastern Anatolia region, met with families of the children who have died in clashes on the mountains. Families stated that they would support the peace process until the end, adding, "The bloodshed must stop and tears of mothers must cease." Following the meeting with the families, Yilmaz Ensaroglu, the head of the panel group of Southeastern Anatolia region, said, "This conflict won’t go on forever and must stop at last," adding that they will prepare a report in two months. He also emphasized that it was important to speak in person with the families who are affected directly from the conflict.
