Yemen's Industry and Trade Minister Saad al-Din Ali Salim bin Talib, who is currently on a visit to Turkey, yesterday said that Turkey was the smiling face of Islamic world. "Any person from Islamic world could see that Islam and modernity were intermingled in Turkey. Turkey and Malaysia are the only two Islamic countries people could experience this feeling. Yemen takes this vision as an example." Stating that they consider Turkey as the strongest country in the Middle East, Talib said, "Turkey is a rising star in the world thanks to its economy. We are of the opinion that Turkey is the greatest experience in the region. We also want to establish delegations consisting of Yemeni businessmen and pay a series of visits to Turkey so that they could benefit from Turkey's model." Talib added that they have been invited to Turkey through Turkish Ambassador to Yemen Fazli Corman and that Yemen would like to establish cooperation with Turkey at a time just after its elections.
