AKP: "The constitutional court overstepped its authority"

The Justice and Development Party's (AKP) Central Executive Board, chaired by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, yesterday met just after the Constitutional Court released its full decision on a ruling upholding the university headscarf ban. During the four-and-a-half-hour meeting, the board came to a consensus that the court had overstepped its authority. Also discussed at the meeting were issues such as how to respond to recent terrorist attacks as well the local elections set for next March.
