Davutoglu in Hungary to discuss ties, EU talks

Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu yesterday began a visit to Hungary, which currently holds the European Union's six-month rotating term presidency, at the invitation of his Hungarian counterpart Janos Martony. Davutoglu and Martony are set to discuss all aspects of bilateral relations as well as exchange views on Turkey's EU membership bid and regional and international affairs, including the Balkans and the Middle East, said the Foreign Ministry. Davutoglu is also expected to have talks with Hungarian President Pal Schmitt and several meetings with Hungarian parliamentarians. The visit will help to strengthen Turkish-EU relations and Turkish-Hungarian ties, said the ministry.
