Davutoglu to host UN's special envoy for Iraq in Konya

Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will host the UN secretary-general’s special representative for Iraq on Friday in his hometown Konya, officials said yesterday. UN Special Envoy Ed Melkert will arrive in Ankara early on Friday morning for a one-day visit and will proceed to Konya later in the day in to meet with Davutoglu. The decision to hold the meeting between Davutoğlu and Melkert in Konya rather than Ankara is related to the former’s hectic schedule.
