Gul set to begin Swiss visit today

President Abdullah Gul is set to begin a visit to Switzerland today at the invitation of his Swiss counterpart Doris Leuthard to discuss bilateral issues and ways to cooperate on international platforms. The two-day visit is the first-ever presidential-level trip from Turkey to Switzerland, according to a statement by Gul's office. The statement said relations between Ankara and Bern have gained momentum in recent years, and that there is a strong will and determination on both sides to further deepen this cooperation.
