Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, recently named him one of Foreign Policy's Top 100 Global Thinkers, flew to Washington over the weekend to receive an award from the influential magazine. Before leaving the US tomorrow, he is also set to meet with US Secretary State Hillary Clinton, National Security Advisor Tom Donilon, and numerous congressmen and journalists. He is also scheduled to speak at a foreign policy think-tank and with students at Georgetown University. After his meetings in Washington, Davutoglu is expected to fly to Kazakhstan on Tuesday night for an Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) meeting. Davutoglu is widely known for his "zero problems with neighbors" concept, which initiated a new active era in Turkish foreign policy.
