Palestinian leader Abbas set to visit Turkey

Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas will visit Turkey this weekend. Palestinian diplomatic sources said on Thursday that Abbas was expected to hold meetings with President Abdullah Gul, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu as part of his two-day visit in Istanbul.  Reportedly, the normalization process in Turkish-Israeli relations, reconciliation process in Palestine, recent developments in the Israeli-Palestinian issue and US Secretary of State John Kerry's talks in the Middle East will be high on the agenda of the meetings.
