PM Erdogan to attend G-8 summit in Italy

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will represent Turkey at next week's G-8 heads of state and government summit in Italy on July 8-10. On the sidelines of the summit will be an important series of meetings among Azeri President Ilham Aliyev, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Erdogan. During the summit, issues such as Afghanistan, Pakistan, the Middle East, North Korea, Iran and the Caucasus will be discussed. Concrete steps are also expected to be taken towards solving the Nagorno-Karabakh issue between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
