Turkey expresses support for Pakistan

President Abdullah Gul yesterday said that Turkey is extending support to Pakistan's democratization process and fight against terrorism. Before leaving for a trip to Pakistan, Gul said that Turkey is working for peace, stability and prosperity in Pakistan, adding that those efforts will continue. Gul, currently in Pakistan at the invitation of his Pakistani counterpart Asif Ali Zardari, said that his visit will help strengthen political and economic cooperation between the two countries.
