Turkey taking helm of another key CoE body

Turkey tomorrow is set to assume the presidency for the next six months of the Council of Europe's Committee of Ministers, its decision-making body. Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, who will attend the handover ceremony, is set to tell reporters about Turkey's priorities for its time at the CoE helm. Macedonian Foreign Minister Antonia Miloshoski, who will hand over the helm, is also set to review his country's turn in office. As this January ruling party Deputy Mevlut Cavusoglu was elected chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe for a two-year term, the first Turk ever at the post, as of tomorrow Turkey will have the responsibility for the CoE's two main mechanisms.
