Greek exports to Turkey increased

Crisis-hit Greece has experiencing good trade relations with Turkey. Despite the severe economic crisis in Greece, the economic relations between two countries are increasing in favor of Greece. While Turkey's exports to Greece amounted to $2.4 billion in 2008, the figure decreased to $1.3 billion in 2012. On the contrary Turkey's imports from Greece rose to $3.3 billion from $1.1 billion. Economy minister Zafer Caglayan also gave important figures related to Turkey's economic relations with neighboring Greece. Zafer Caglayan said while Greek exports to Turkey have tripled, imports have dropped by 50 percent. Turkey's major export items to Greece are mineral oil and fuel.
