OIC: "Obama says the US can work with Muslims"

New US President Barack Obama has said he is confident the US can work together with the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC). In a letter to Turkish scholar and OIC Secretary-General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, Obama said he would work to improve relations with the group, the Jeddah-based organization said Sunday on its website. Obama also thanked the OIC, which represents 1.5 billion Muslims in 57 countries, for its congratulations after his Jan. 20 inauguration, the group said.
