Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc yesterday said that despite advances in both traditional media and the Internet, sometimes the way news is depicted and discussed can have a detrimental effect on the public. At the "Communication Turkey 2009: Media and Communication" summit in Istanbul, Arinc said, "We call on the media to concentrate on reporting with a high aesthetic approach and protecting the public interest. Our country and the world aren't rosy pink. But they aren't made up of crises of madness either."
