11th International Defense Industry Fair kicks off in Istanbul

The 11th International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF'13) opened its doors yesterday with the participation of Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek, Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz, US Ambassador to Turkey Francis Ricciardone, as well as force commanders at the Tuyap Fair Convention and Congress Center in Istanbul. Speaking at the opening of the fair, Yilmaz said that a great many of defense systems ranging from armored vehicles to coastal guard boats, night vision devices and target systems have been manufactured by the Turkish defense industry and that such vehicles have attracted attention throughout the world.
