2nd International Students Graduation Ceremony held in Ankara

The 2nd International Students Graduation Ceremony was held at the International Convention and Exhibition Center of the Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO), Congresium, with the participation of Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, along with Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag, National Education Minister Nabi Avci, Head of the Board of Higher Education (YOK) Gokhan Cetinsaya and Head of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities Kemal Yurtnac. Speaking at the ceremony, Davutoglu called on the international students who have completed their education in Turkey to serve their people and establish a bridge of friendship with Turkey. "848 newly graduates are Turkey's honorary ambassadors abroad," Davutoglu said, adding that currently 36,940 students from 180 countries study in Turkey. Addressing the international students, Davutoglu said that that they were not strangers, but a part of the family. Davutoglu also called on them to teach their children how to speak Turkish, as it would be needed the most globally in the upcoming years.
