Turkish culture is inseparable from that of Europe, said Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu yesterday. Speaking at Rome's Barberini Palace, meeting with Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini ahead of a Turkish-Italian Dialogue Forum, Davutoglu said, "Those who don't admit that Turkish culture belongs in Europe act with a kind of racism." Frattini, for his part, argued that Turkish membership would bring additional prestige to the European Union, saying, "Full membership for Turkey would benefit both sides."
