Erdogan participates in Moscow meeting through teleconferencing
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan yesterday participated in a meeting between his Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi in Moscow through teleconferencing. During the meeting, the South Stream project was discussed. For his part, Erdogan said that once the Samsun-Ceyhan Oil Pipeline is operational, Istanbul will be safe from possible ecological threat. "I would like to thank you for the decision taken by the Turkish government," said Putin. "I thank you for permitting a pipeline that will go through Turkish territory in the Black Sea and reach Bulgaria from Russia." Berlusconi said that energy projects carried out between the three countries are very important for the overall security of Europe. Putin also invited Erdogan to visit Moscow.
