Gul receives Rompuy at Cankaya Presidential Palace

President Abdullah Gul welcomed the European Council President Herman Van Rompuy at the Cankaya Presidential Palace on Thursday. After having a tete-a-tete with Rompuy, Gul hosted a working luncheon for his guest at the Cankaya Presidential Palace. The luncheon was also attended by Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and Turkey’s Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis. According to the information provided by the Turkish Presidency, Turkey's EU accession process and Syria issue were discussed thoroughly during the meeting.
