In Nepal, Davutoglu hopes to boost ties

Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu arrived in Katmandu yesterday to boost bilateral ties ahead of the Fourth United Nations Conference on Least Developed Countries (LDC-IV) this May in Istanbul. Nepal is currently the chair of the UN General Assembly's LDC group. After being greeted by Nepalese Foreign Secretary Madan Kumar Bhattarai, the Turkish delegation visited two historical sites in Kathmandu: Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Swayambhu. According to Nepal's Foreign Ministry, Davutoglu's visit will give the two nations the opportunity to expand political, economic and bilateral ties ahead of the LDC conference.
