Speaking on the upcoming elections, German Chancellor Angela Merkel called on the Turkish people living in Germany to acquire German citizenship. Merkel also wanted Turkish people to vote during general elections to be held in Germany on September 22 and touched on eight of the ten NSU murder victims who were small business owners of Turkish or Greek background. "I have apologized for what has happened. We will take lessons from this," Merkel noted.
