MGK meets to discuss development in mideast

The National Security Council (MGK), chaired by President Abdullah Gul, met yesterday to discuss recent developments in Libya and other Middle Eastern countries. At the regular meeting, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu gave a briefing on the evacuation of Turkish citizens from Libya and government policy in the face of ongoing developments. Davutoglu also spoke on the recent and future growth of pro-democracy movements in the Middle East .
