Turkey staying standing despite the economic crisis has depended on reforms carried out in every sector, and particularly banking and finance, said President Abdullah Gul yesterday. Speaking to an Ankara Chamber of Industry (ASO) meeting, Gul said that prior governments had also contributed to this but especially reforms carried out in recent years had made Turkey a stronger country. Stating that industry has an important place in the economy, Gul also underlined its difficulty as a producing and employing sector.
